Spend Your Holidays at Holiday Homes in Barstow
As baby boomers look toward retirement, more are discovering the convenience, ease, and affordability of manufactured housing communities. HomeQuest works with many of the top manufactured housing communities throughout California, including Holiday Homes in Barstow.
An exclusive community for people 55 and older, Holiday Homes has an array of features as well as hands-on owners who strive to make this the best-manufactured housing community in the high desert.
Owned by the second and third generation of the Riegel family, the first generation, John Riegel and Pat Lyons developed mobile home parks and apartments in Barstow in the 1950s. Before that, they had developed and operated the first drive-in theater in the high desert.
Holiday Homes offers numerous amenities including a sparkling pool, spa, and a clubhouse with a range of activities from low-impact aerobics classes to card games and social events. The community also has a Bark Park for residents’ furry friends to enjoy. The Bark Park is a fenced area with park benches and a walking path, trees, pet playground accessories, plenty of running space, and a drinking area.
Bark Park has double gates at either end, a convenient feature that allows for the unleashing of dogs before full entry, to let them play and have fun. Likewise, the double gates allow pet parents to re-leash their dogs before returning out into the rest of the community.
In addition, in 2013, the owners installed a new solar electric generation field to provide a “Green” source of electricity for all residents of Holiday Homes. This produces most of the electricity used by residents annually.
Holiday Homes is located in southeast Barstow with scenic views of the Calico Mountains to the northeast. Barstow features clean air, low traffic, and plenty of nearby shopping at the Factory Outlet Mall, nearby major department stores, and a unique downtown area with a Historic Route 66 feel. Holiday Homes is located within easy access to many points of interest throughout Southern California, including a 90-minute drive from the casinos at Stateline, mountain sports like hiking, fishing, boating, skiing, and relaxing getaways to Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, Wrightwood, Silverwood Lake, and Lake Isabella. Residents also have easy access to Santa Barbara Wine Country of the Central Coast, Disneyland, Angels and Dodgers Stadiums, and San Diego, as well as excursions to the Grand Canyon and Sedona, or Las Vegas.
In accordance with Federal Housing Regulations, a qualifying homeowner at Holiday Homes must be at least 55 years old and all other residents within the home at least age 40. Exceptions can be made for caregivers and caretakers with verification, so please ask about these family situations.
Holiday Homes are professionally managed by J & H Asset Property Management, one of the largest and most experienced companies in the asset property management industry. A sister company to HomeQuest, the two companies provide the highest level of service to Holiday Homes and its residents.
