How long is the warranty on a new manufactured home?

Home Quest and the manufacturer are responsible for covering a 15 month warranty on all NEW manufactured homes. If you have issues with your NEW manufactured home please contact your sales associate so they can take care of you. The warranty on the appliances goes through the manufacturer. You will find this contact information in your "New Home Buyers" packet.

What is the difference between a park model/RV and a manufactured/ mobile home?

A Park Model is technically a recreational vehicle. These are registered through the DMV rather than HCD and are less than 300 square ft. Park Models do not need to be permitted, but we recommend checking with your city or county to make sure they allow R.V.'s to be stored on private property. Manufactured Homes have been built to HUD code since 1976 and are licensed through the California Department of Housing of Community Development. These homes are larger than 400 sq. ft. and can be built in several sections such as single wides, double wides, tripple wides, and even two stories. Mobile Homes were built prior to June of 1976 and were registered through the DMV.
